Crash and burn enough times, and eventually you’ll realize that it’s not you that’s broken.
I’m not afraid to admit that I have crashed and burned many times. And was it because there’s something inherently deeply wrong with me? There was definitely a long stretch of my life where I believed that.
But eventually you go through a healing journey and you realize: it actually wasn’t me all along. It’s the system. It’s the structures around me.
I crashed out because I was forcing myself to measure my worth according to the standards of an overarching culture that I don’t actually align with. I was assigning myself value based on metrics and productivity that:
Venus represents value, yes. But Venus also has needs, she demands to be shown her worth. Self-worth is how you tell the world how to treat you.
When you measure your worth based on values that are not your own, you’re living out of alignment. Having a clear sense of your own values shows you how to prioritize your time and focus. Yes, you are worth it.
Venus retrograde invites us to reflect on and review our relationship to our self-worth and values, especially in the context of relationships.
