NOVEMBER 2024 ASTROLOGY

It is an emotionally potent month. We are triggered. We are frustrated. We want change. We want freedom. We set sail for the tumultuous waters of the high seas. 

Luckily, we get to be the captain of our own ship. We can adjust the sails, but we cannot control the wind or the ocean. The boat is always going to rock. But we can gain our sea legs. We can find our sense of balance within ourselves. We can breathe and accept that the storm will come. We can breathe and remember that the storm will pass. We can remind ourselves that this is all part of the adventure. We keep our mind’s eye on the treasure when things get extra challenging. X marks the spot.

We realize that material security is an illusion. Safety is a feeling. It cannot be purchased or hoarded. Safety is cultivated within us and around us.  

NEW MOON IN SCORPIO

We start the month off with a new moon that has us craving emotional stability, especially after the events of last month’s full moon in Aries. We want to do what we need to do in order to create a sense of grounding within ourselves. It starts with taking responsibility for our own emotions. Realizing that we can have influence over our own thoughts, beliefs, behaviors, and actions—and the rest.. well we can’t really control that. 

TRANSIT MARS PLUTO OPPOSITION

The Mars – Pluto forms an exact opposition on Sunday, November 3. We’ve been feeling this one for the past couple weeks, and will continue to experience its effects over the next several months into the spring. We are motivated to take impulsive action that could have long lasting impact. Feelings of deep seated frustration come to the surface. Where you have avoided being assertive, taking action, or advocating for yourself may become so painfully obvious. There is anger. Not only towards others, but also towards yourself. However, there is no changing the past. Only recognizing where you’ve given your power away. And how you can make the decision to reclaim self-sovereignty. 

TAURUS FULL MOON

Mid-month, the Taurus full moon brings a shocking intuitive insight about your emotional habits. A pattern that you want to break away from. Recognizing how you have been perpetuating a certain cycle in your life. Recognizing how simple it is to change it by simply redirecting your energy and intention elsewhere. The truth sets you free. The final push to close the cycle. Allowing a new reality to take shape by leaning into change. Loosening the grip. Accepting what needs to be let go. 

PLUTO INGRESS INTO AQUARIUS

Pluto completes its final transit through Capricorn during our lifetime and enters Aquarius. Our attitudes about power, who wields it and how it influences us will undergo a deep change over the next two decades. We will no longer value a system of vertical hierarchy, and instead long for communal power. Power to the people. Power to the masses. We not only dream of a future that is more just, we create it.  We recognize the folly in personal legacy against the backdrop of a planet in crisis.

Sometimes things manifest more easily when you stop being so invested in the outcome. Take the time to journal your dreams this month, you’ll be surprised by the messages you receive in your sleep.

What are the stories you tell yourself and are they supportive of your pursuit of pleasure? Are these stories reinforced by the people that surround you? You have permission to write a new story for yourself. You have permission to let go of connections that don’t support who you are becoming.
