It’s you versus you, baby!
This new year, I want you to remember that a fresh start is always available regardless of the Gregorian calendar, regardless of astrology and regardless of what is happening with the moon.
The only thing that really stands in the way are the expired stories and limiting beliefs you continuously tell yourself. Your mindset. It’s really you vs. you.
This may sound harsh, but truthfully it is one of the most liberating realizations that I have ever experienced: that by taking radical self-accountability for my own life, I am also reclaiming my creative agency and reclaiming power over how I shape my future.
The year starts off just days after the Capricorn New Moon on December 30th. If you haven’t already, it is still an excellent time to set intentions and review your day to day mindset.
What we often miss in the mainstream rhetoric around manifestation is that it is less about acquiring stuff and more about becoming. Manifestation is about embodying the version of you that attracts all that you desire. And it starts with your mindset: the thoughts you feed yourself.
Thoughts become beliefs. Beliefs shape perception. Perception influences our interpretation of reality. Interpretation of reality influences how we move in the world. I dare you to move as if you are already the person you want to be.
If you have a dream, it is a calling. Answer it. Or don’t. When Neptune and Saturn enter Aries later this year, you will feel it in your bones. You will no longer be able to deny yourself of your dreams or resist the hard work it takes to turn your dreams into reality.
Or you can start now. And if you slip up, you can always start again. That’s the beauty of Cardinal energy.

Venus Enters Pisces
Venus in the sign of its exaltation helps to soften the bite of the ongoing Mars-Pluto opposition. We may be more forgiving and understanding in our relationships. We may feel a heightened sense of compassion. Things are a little dreamier.
Mars Leo opposite Pluto Aquarius
Tensions are high. Deep seated emotions or longstanding disputes come to the surface. Now is the time to breathe and channel your aggression into physical activity. This is the second time this aspect between Mars and Pluto will exact during a six-month long ordeal due to Mars retrograde. The first happened in November 2024 at the 29° anaretic degree of Cancer and Capricorn. The third will occur after Mars stations direct in the spring.
Full Moon in Cancer
Mid-month, the Full Moon in Cancer invites us to let go of old grudges and reflect on its spiritual lessons. Mars retrograde in Cancer at 27° conjunct the moon at 23°, forming a trine to Neptune in Pisces at 27°. Are there repeated patterns with maternal figures in your life that you need to address? This full moon will provide answers and an opportunity to heal mother wounds.
New Moon in Aquarius
We end the month with an optimistic New Moon in Aquarius at 9° forming a trine to Jupiter rx in Gemini 11°, ruled by Saturn in Pisces 17° also forming a trine with Mars rx in Cancer 21°. This lunation is supportive of committing to new habits that lay the foundation for future opportunities. Sometimes self-imposed rules operate best as guidelines rather than rigid expectations.
